Description
Cornell University Library's Digital Scholarship and Preservation Services (DSPS) unit seeks a
Digital Projects Librarian who will coordinate digital collection projects and provide oversight for objectives of digital preservation. Reporting to the Digital Curation Services Lead, the Digital Projects Librarian will be an important member in the
Digital Curation Services team, which has as its mission to coordinate CUL's overall digital preservation program and facilitate the creation of a cohesive service framework. The incumbent will also coordinate or contribute to other projects related to the
creation, use, migration and/or management of digital assets.
The Digital Scholarship & Preservation Services (DSPS) program facilitates collaborations within the Cornell University community in the creation and management of digital scholarly content and tools to support
learning, teaching, and research. The program has a national and international presence and facilitates sharing and archiving of content through online institutional and subject repositories such as
arXiv.org. Program staff work closely with the Library’s IT group in developing technical solutions, collaborating with the Library’s departmental liaisons and subject specialists in identifying needs and delivering services,
and faculty in using information technologies to enhance teaching and research services.
