Good Morning Canoe and Hikers!
Just a friendly reminder that you can start checking out gear from UTOP TODAY!
If you can't go today, no big deal. Just try to go before Friday. And again, UTOP is going to run out of some stuff. If you get there and they don't have something you need, here is what you need to do:
If its a tent or sleeping bag: 1) Ask your friends if they have one to borrow
2) Bring pillows and blankets and make a blanket fort in your car
3) Email me and I'll try to track one down for you
If its a headlamp: 1) Again, ask your friends
2) Check one out from me or Austin
3) Just bring a flashlight
4) Don't worry about it, there will be so many of us, we can all share.
As far as packing goes, PLEASE go over the gear list (attached in this email). Remember that you'll need to pack your own food but we will have stoves so don't worry about checking one out from UTOP.
As of right now, there is a chance for some rain. Make sure your tent/hammock has a rain fly and that you pack some extra clothes in case yours get wet.
