The UT Police Department has received
some questions about how they notify students about emergency situations that occur on
or around our campus. There is also ongoing confusion about the difference between UT
Alert text and e-mail messages and the “Safety Notice” e-mails that
everyone receives. Read answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.

The leadership studies minor can prepare
you to serve confidently, collaboratively, and ethically in leadership roles on campus and
in local, national, and global communities. Participants will take 12 hours of applied
leadership education and participate in 60 applied experience hours. Applications are due
Wednesday, October 7.

deadlines
The last day that you can drop a first-
session course with a “W” is Friday, September 25. Monday, October 12,
is the last day you can add, change grading options, or drop without a “W” for second-
session courses.

University of Florida in the annual Tailgate Blood Drive. Let’s finish strong and
win the competition for the seventh year in a row! You can donate from 10:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m. today and tomorrow in the HPER building. All donors will receive a T-shirt and
coupons for a free small one-topping pizza at Papa John’s, a free petro at Petro’s Chili and
Chips, and a free appetizer at Texas Roadhouse.

Celebrate the diverse cultures on our
campus during next week’s International Education
Week. The week features an international photo exhibit, a coffeehouse, and
lectures. The celebration concludes next Friday with the thirty-first annual International
Festival—offering you a trip around the globe with foods, artifacts, cultural displays, and
live performances.

SGA’s Government Affairs
Committee and the Baker Center Ambassadors will partner for National Voter Registration
Day from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September
23 on Pedestrian Walkway. Committee members will provide you with information on
voting locations, absentee ballots, and how you can register to vote.
