Get Advised Before Spring Registration

Spring registration starts October 12. You’re required to meet with an advisor if you have fewer than 30 UT credit hours, are following an exploratory track, are identified as being off track by uTrack, or are on academic probation. You will be notified through your MyUTK account by September 28 if you are required to attend an advising appointment this semester. All other undergraduate students are required to meet with an advisor during one designated term each year.

Beat the Gators During Annual Blood Drive

We won the blood drive against Florida last year, and now it’s time to beat them again during the annual Tailgate Blood Drive competition. You can donate between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. today through Friday in the HPER building. All donors will receive a T-shirt and coupons for a free small one- topping pizza at Papa John’s, a free petro at Petro’s Chili and Chips, and a free appetizer at Texas Roadhouse.

Assisting Our Off-Campus and Commuter Students

Courtney Pearson joined UT this summer as the first-ever coordinator for off-campus and commuter services. She is working with departments to identify the needs of our more than 19,000 off-campus and commuter students while connecting those students with on-campus programs and services. The Center for Career Development will host three days of internship and job fairs next week that are open to all students. The fairs bring hundreds of corporate employers, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to campus. Baker Center Releases Fall Schedule of Events

The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy, a nonpartisan institute devoted to education and research on public policy and civic engagement, has released its schedule of events for this fall. From energy and environmental forums to Constitution Day and the Baker Distinguished Lecture Series, the center will host more than ten free events this semester.

The RecSports Report for September 14–28 features updates on the Western Carolina game day hours for facilities and a list of upcoming road rides, whitewater trips, and canoe rides.
