Torchbearer Plaza Bricks Find Their Way Back to Circle Park

The Volunteer statue in Torchbearer Plaza has witnessed many milestones since his 1968 debut on campus—marriage proposals, the Vol Walk, and plenty of graduation day photos. The recent renovation of the plaza has provided a unique opportunity for alumni staff to return a piece of UT history to hundreds of Volunteers. Read more...

Chancellor Appointed to SEC Conduct Group
Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek has been appointed to a Southeastern Conference working group to review issues surrounding student-athlete conduct. The group is chaired by R. Bowen Loftin, chancellor of the University of Missouri. Members include administrators, faculty, and staff members from the University of Georgia, Vanderbilt University, Mississippi State University, the University of Arkansas, and Louisiana State University.
