UT Now Ranked 47th in 2016 U.S. News and World Report Rankings
Improvements in graduation rates helped pave the way for UT’s three-spot rise in U.S. News and World Report’s 2016 undergraduate rankings released today. UT is now ranked 47th among all public universities, up from 50th last year. Read more...

Campus Community Invited to Friday's Student Union Dedication

In Memoriam: Anthony "Tony" Moses
Anthony "Tony" Moses, a longtime faculty member in the English Language Institute, passed away on September 2. He became an instructor at ELI in 1985, soon after completing his doctorate in English at UT. A service of remembrance will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, at the Baker Center. Baker Center's Fall Events Kick Off Thursday
The Baker Center is kicking off its Energy and Environmental Forum series with speaker Berrien Moore at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, in the Baker Center's Toyota Auditorium. Moore is the Chesapeake Energy Corporation Chair in Climate Studies, dean of the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences, director of the National Weather Center, and vice president for weather and climate programs at the University of Oklahoma. Disaster Drill Gave Responders, Nursing Students Realistic Practice
A make-believe tornado hit campus, ripping apart Neyland Stadium just before a football game. A handful of people were killed; dozens were injured. This horrific scenario set the stage for UT's full-scale disaster drill last April and the whole thing was caught on video. Practice is key to the campus preparedness effort. Read more...
