The UTK History Department (in conjunction with the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, the Black Student Union, and Women of Promise) is proud to announce the launch of the #BlackHistoryMatters Film and Discussion Series, which will kickoff next week on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Haslam Business Building, Room 203. We will be viewing and discussing Haile Gerima's Sankofa (1993). Food and drinks will be provided!

Please help us with maximizing campus attendance by publicizing the Film and Discussion Series to your students and whenever possible offering extra credit. Attached to this email, you'll find an electronic version of the fall 2015 poster and the yearlong schedule of films. The film poster has also been embedded in the email below. Please feel free to pass this email along to anyone you think might be interested.
