Responsibilities. The Assistant Director for Public Services oversees all branch operations, including: monitoring and evaluating public services and preparing goals for changes in service, resources, and programs based on statistical data; analyzing personnel requirements and overseeing employees through six direct reports; monitoring financial expenditures, including making adjustments as needed to remain within budgetary guidelines and developing annual budget requests; providing instruction to customers in the use of all technology resources and library policies and procedures; serving as a liaison for public services staff to other library departments and to the community—all under the direction of the Library Director. Qualifications. This position requires a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited university; a minimum of five years progressive supervision/management experience in a library setting, including supervision of professional and non-professional staff; eligibility for certification from the State of Georgia Board of Certification of Librarians; the ability to obtain a valid GA Driver’s License; advanced knowledge of computer use, including ILS, Internet and electronic databases. Experience supervising a system-wide department or multiple library locations is preferred.
This position offers a hiring salary range of $60,050 - $72,915 (dependent on experience and qualifications) and an attractive benefits package.

virtual reference services. Provides research consultations and instruction in the discovery, use, and management of text and data. Supports research and raises awareness of resources through outreach efforts such as department-based office hours, blogs, RSS
feeds, mailings lists, and workshops. Creates and maintains research guides and other research support tools. Collaborates with librarians, archivists, GIS specialists, and StatLab staff to support research and teaching.
Selects anthropology, sociology, and women’s, gender and sexuality studies materials in all formats. Works closely with the CSSSI Director of Collection Management, Technical Services and Access Services on receiving acquired resources
in all formats (print, databases and datasets) and preparing them for availability to users.
Participates in research and instruction program planning and implementation. Participates as a team member in service program development for the CSSSI. Participates in Yale Library planning, committees, and task forces, and engages
in campus, regional, and national professional organizations and collaborative activities.
Participates in professional activities outside of Yale and monitors developments and best practices elsewhere to help ensure the excellence of the Yale social science collection and research support services. May be required to assist
with disaster recovery efforts. May be assigned to work at West Campus location in West Haven, CT.

Responsibilities. The Executive Director’s primary role is to provide leadership and initiative for LibraryLinkNJ. The ED works with the Executive Board and members of the Cooperative in the development and implementation of programs to enhance library services in New Jersey; manages the headquarters office; makes recommendations to the Executive Board concerning the hiring of office staff; and supervises and motivates staff in accordance with policies adopted by the Executive Board. There are two part-time Reference Librarian positions open at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville. These positions are located at the Hardin Valley campus. The summary on the posts is a bit confusing. One position is responsible

The Repository Outreach Specialist works with colleagues in the Libraries, the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships, and Information Technology
at Purdue to conduct outreach, provide training and help to coordinate the on-going operation, support, and improvement of the Purdue University Research Repository (PURR,
http://purr.purdue.edu) institutional data repository service. The position serves as the primary point of contact for PURR and collaborates on the further development and support of PURR as well as other initiatives of
the Distributed Data Curation Center (D2C2) of the Libraries.

Job Summary:

This is a full-faculty, tenure-track position in the Department of Health Sciences Library of the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. The person holding this position will be responsible for:

Promoting lifelong learning skills and information literacy within the health sciences center, including students, faculty, and other personnel and staff
o
Planning and coordinating educational programs
o
Developing instructional course materials for Freshman Orientation, Immersion, Module III, the Senior Selective and other courses in the curriculum
o
Planning and providing library instruction/teaching for students in the School of Allied Health Professions, Graduate School, and School of Medicine
o
Serving as the library liaison to curriculum planning/advisory committees
o
Working cooperatively with faculty to develop educational offerings
o
Coordinating educational offerings through workshops, teleconferences, and classes to meet the continuing education needs of staff, students, and faculty
o
Directly supervising personnel who might be assigned to the Section
o
Selecting and recommending appropriate materials and equipment for the needs of the Section
o
Preparing information for newsletters, brochures, informational materials related to the workings of the Section
o
Fulfilling the requirements of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region Resource Library Subcontract as follows: plan and evaluate Network programs; provide direct outreach to unaffiliated health
care providers, including underserved, rural or minority health care professionals or public health workers; provide PubMed/Loansome Doc/MEDLINEplus training and support; provide direct outreach to consumers and consumer health information providers to improve
health information literacy; aid in technology awareness/transfer; exhibit NLM products and services; foster and provide special outreach projects
