Move-In Day 2015: A Guide to Your Arrival on Rocky Top

Fall semester begins next Wednesday, and move-in day for many students begins at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers will be on hand to help unload cars and answer questions. Getting Around Campus This Week

More than 7,000 residential students are making their way to campus this week. Construction on campus and the city of Knoxville’s upgrades to Cumberland Avenue will present a few challenges when traveling to campus. Read more about traffic changes for move-in and recommendations for accessing campus this week.

It’s Almost Time for Welcome Week

It’s going to be a busy, fun-filled week of activities for all students during Welcome Week. Check out the entire schedule of things to do next week on the Welcome Week website.

Vol Tip: All the information you need to help you during your first week is available on the Welcome to Campus website, where you can find helpful tools and special Welcome Week hours for One Stop, the VolShop, and the T transit system.

First Phase of Student Union Now Open

Have you had the chance to visit the first phase of the Student Union? The building features the VolShop, VolBooks, and VolTech stores; several dining options; and the Center for Career Development. Seven offices previously located in the University Center have moved to nearby buildings while the second phase of the Student Union is built. Familiarize yourself with these new locations so you can take advantage of their services.

Fall Tuition and Fees Due Monday

Fall tuition and fees are due by 4:30 p.m. Monday, August 17. Take a second to check your MyUTK account and make sure your fees have been paid. If you still need to pay your fees, don’t forget you can do so online. One Stop is open on the first floor of Hodges Library from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday if you need additional help.

Parking Permits Available for Purchase Online

Are you bringing your car to campus this semester? Make sure to purchase your parking permit online as Parking Services is no longer selling permits in their office. You will receive a temporary PDF permit with your purchase receipt to display in your vehicle. This temporary permit will allow you to park in your designated parking area for ten days until you receive your permanent permit by mail.
