MABE Alum Joins Citadel
Faculty
This month, COE alumnus Jason Howison will begin his second year as assistant professor at The Citadel, which was named the top public
college in the south by U.S. News and World Report. Howison graduated from the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering (MABE). The mechanical engineering program at The Citadel was started two years ago, so Howison
will have the opportunity to influence the direction and appearance of the program. He will be teaching thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer as well as aerospace electives such as aerodynamics and propulsion. Howison received his BS in mechanical
engineering from Clemson University, his MS in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia, and his PhD in aerospace engineering from UT. While a PhD student in the MABE department, Howison's advisor was associate professor Dr. Kivanc
