Smoky Mountain Service Dogs, a wonderful organization that helps our wounded veterans, is proud to announce that on Friday, July 17th at 4PM, they will have a double “Passing of the Leash” graduation ceremony. If possible, please join them as they HONOR two combat injured veterans by presenting them with their SMSD mobility assistance service dogs. This event allows them to not only honor these veterans and their canine partners, but also the trainers and all volunteers who played major roles in preparing the dogs for their life of service. The invitation is attached but event is open to the public.  Here is a the web-link to the SMSD website if you would like more information on this organization.  http://www.smokymountainservicedogs.org/

*US Army Veteran (retired) Ike Weaver of Maryville, TN.

Ike suffered his injuries during combat in Vietnam

*Air Force Veteran (retired) Daniel Belcher of Clinton, TN.

The super hero dogs, Nitro and Stryker, are perfect matches for
