Are you or someone you know ready to work with scientists and engineers at a cutting edge research university?  We have an opening at our University Park campus in the newly renovated Earth & Mineral Sciences branch library. This library provides services for science and engineering disciplines in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences(www.ems.psu.edu), including geography.

Qualifications: Requires an MLS from an ALA-accredited program, or master’s degree in a related field; academic background or relevant experience in the sciences, engineering, or one of the subject fields of the College of EMS; ability to work independently and collaboratively; initiative; strong commitment to serving the needs of all users in a timely and superior fashion; and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Interest in furthering the growth of knowledge through research is required.

Preferred qualifications: creativity; experience with outreach to geographically dispersed users; experience working with diverse populations; reference and instructional expertise; library experience.
