JIM GREENRegional Manager
Teledyne Optech Toronto

"We are looking for people who are keen and eager--are keen to wake up in the morning and have the solutions rolling before they get to the office. Most of my hires are people who sit at a table--like I am right now--leaning forward into the conversation, not sitting back waiting for someone to ask a question."

JEFF YATES, General Manager
DAT/EM Anchorage

"As you go across the [exhibit] floor, you're focusing your story, you're practicing your story. It'll help you focus on what you really want--what your passion is. If I've met you and you're qualified, you've got the inside track on the position. That's really one of the essences of these conferences--networking."

GABE LADDCEO
Advanced Concepts Consulting Philadelphia

"One of the things I've done--particularly as a student when I was getting to know the field--is if there wasn't a [conference] session I knew I needed to go to, I picked one that I didn't understand, didn't know the topic, and I'd sit there and listen. I'd even try to ask a few questions at the end. Go: be inquisitive, learn the tools that are out there."

ELMER D. FOREMAN, Recruiter
National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency DC Metro

"We're always trying to find surveyors and image scientists as student interns. We offer paid 2-year internships and provide valuable experience. It's a great resume builder.  Through the internship program, we provide you with a top secret security clearance (which is worth a lot of money)."

JASON S. SMITHSenior Image Scientist
ITT EXELIS Rochester

"Basically anything that's up there flying, we've touched--almost everything, at one point or another. We build weather satellites, the DigitalGlobe satellites, the GeoEye satellites, we built IKONOS, we work through NASA...we ebb and flow with the government, and had some contraction for a while. But now, the floodgates are open."

The geospatial community wants to get to know you.
ASPRS provides students with opportunities to get to know employers--
face-to-face--who are seeking candidates with your skills.
