School Library Positions – Arlington Public Schools – Arlington, VA Arlington Public Schools <http://www.apsva.us/domain/22> will be posting a number of library vacancies in the coming weeks to be filled for the 2015-2016 school year. ALL applicants must hold an MLS with a School Library Media K-12 endorsement, or the equivalent. Currently, we have a posting for Claremont Elementary School for a Spanish-speaking librarian. A portion of the interview will be conducted in Spanish. Next week, we expect to see a posting for the Discovery Elementary library job. Description is below. On April 6th, we expect one, possibly two additional Elementary positions to be posted. The H-B Woodlawn position is still posted, but the position is closed. Arlington Public Schools is opening a new Elementary school in north Arlington, named “Discovery Elementary.” Seeking certified library candidates with a fresh, 21st Century approach to library operations. Candidates should be highly proficient with educational technology. Candidates should also have a strong background in library programming and classroom collaboration and be flexible and open to new designs and methodology.
