Things You Should Do Before the University Center Closes

Just a few weeks are left until the Carolyn P. Brown Memorial University Center officially closes to make room for the second phase of the new Student Union. Make some time before the end of the semester to stop in and enjoy activities or events or just to roam through the halls one more time. Going Global: Teaching, Working, and Studying Abroad

Learn about different ways to gain international experience and opportunities for young professionals who desire to work abroad. The event will feature a panel of experts in fields such as studying abroad, international business, and teaching overseas. The panel begins at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday in UC Room 221.

Student to Watch: Fadi Saleh, Baracksdubs Creator

Fadi Saleh, a senior in the College Scholars Program, became well known around campus and on social media three years ago when he launched his Baracksdubs YouTube channel. The channel features mash-up videos of President Obama “singing” along to popular songs, using clips from many of his speeches. Learn more about why he started the channel and his plans for after college.

It’s Time to Evaluate Your Instructor

Evaluations for your spring semester courses are now available.Did you know that SAIS evaluations are used in a variety of ways on campus? Instructors use them to review and improve teaching and course materials, department heads and deans use them for faculty performance reviews, and some students use them to select instructors for future classes through the SGA Tennessee 101 site.

Register Now for Tour de Knox

Students in the Haslam School of Business service learning class present Tour de Knox, a bike rally in association with Outdoor KnoxFest, at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26. Riders of any ability are encouraged to attend. The event, starting and ending at Neyland Stadium, aims to promote biking in the UT and downtown area. Learn more about the bike rally and register.

Submit Your Organization’s Event for Welcome Week

Welcome Week is an exciting opportunity to welcome our newest Vols to campus and welcome back our fellow returning students. Your student organization can submit an event that your group would like to host during Welcome Week, August 15 through 22. Submissions are due Friday, May 15.
