Dear GRC listserv, Dr. Amber Griffiths and colleagues have just published an important database (http://datadryad.org/review?doi=doi:10.5061/dryad.v3h8h ) with long term information from FrogLife on amphibian mortality events in the UK associated with Ranavirus. This is the longest and most complete data set (1992 - 2000) that pertains to Ranavirus emergence that is publically available that I can think of. Here is the description of the data package: Anthropogenic and Ecological Drivers of Amphibian Disease (Ranavirosis) This data is the result of a long term citizen science project monitoring amphibian mortality across the UK. Reports have been submitted by members of the public and administered by Froglife (Charity Number: 1093372). The dataset is in the form of a CSV file. Anyone wishing to re-use this data must acknowledge Froglife. For any further queries with regards to this dataset or to request more recent data, please contact Froglife [log in to unmask] Please see the ReadMe file for a full description of each column heading. The paper is forthcoming and a link to it will appear on the linked page when it is available. Best, Amanda [Description: S:\aduffus\img4.gif] Dr. Amanda L. J. Duffus, BSc.H.
