The FHWA Resource Center Planning and Freight Technical Services Team (TST) is seeking to fill a SHRP2 Implementation Specialist (GS-13) position at one of four RC locations (Lakewood, CO;  Baltimore, MD; Atlanta, GA; and Matteson, IL). The announcement closes April 13, 2015.

This is an Interdisciplinary position, which means the position requires experience and knowledge that could come from either the Community Planner (GS-0020) or the Economist (GS-0110) or the Operations Research Analyst (GS-1515) series. As such, the position can be filled in either series, but all applicants must meet the education and experience requirement of at least one of these series.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to gain valuable experience working in deploying new innovations, products and resources of the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) 2 with our external partners.   This particular position will be focused on supporting the implementation of the SHRP2 C20 product, Freight Demand Modeling and Data Improvement. The ideal candidate for this position is a mid-career professional with in-depth professional experience in transportation and freight data, modeling, and analysis and with an awareness of the SHRP2 program to support the C20 product's implementation activities. The candidate possesses excellent communication, collaboration and partnering skills, is comfortable representing the agency, and desires to be challenged.
