Five Things for You to Do in March

A cold and snowy February is behind us and there are only twelve days before spring break! With just three full weeks of classes this month, there is still plenty to do around campus in March. Here’s a list of five things for you to do in March.

Learn about Effects of Alcohol and Other Drugs

Kip Winger, former UT Medical Center emergency room medical director, and Webster Bailey from Cornerstone of Recovery will present an interactive program about the effects of alcohol and drugs on the body, and the behavioral stages of addiction, at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow in the UC Auditorium.


Interested in Applying for a National Scholarship or Fellowship?

The Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships will host programs this week to help prepare students for applying for nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships. See the full schedule of events here.



Getting to Know the Faces of the Student Success Center

Students help students achieve their academic goals at the Student Success Center. Get to know Jane Sharp, a junior in biological sciences, who serves as a supplemental instruction leader and discover her academic advice for you.



Vol Walk of Life: Engage, Explore, Pick a Major

Explore the various organizations and departments UT has to offer you during Vol Walk of Life from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Wednesday on the second floor of Hodges Library. SGA has gathered representatives from advising, Career Services, the Student Success Center, the Multicultural Mentoring Program, UT Libraries, and academic departments to help you explore career paths and academic majors.


Campus Leadership and Service Scholarships

There are several scholarships available for returning students that recognize outstanding contributions to campus leadership and community service. Applications are due March 13.
