First Announcement to Tennessee Master Gardeners:
Andy Pulte from the Plant Sciences department @ The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and Jason Reeves from the West Tennessee Research and Education Center in Jackson, TN will be leading a garden tour to England this summer.
Classic Gardens and Country Estates of England
August 11-22, 2015 + an option to stay later to see more sites in London!
Escape the August heat this summer for what is sure to be an exciting adventure as you visit some of England’s most famous gardens and country estates. From the stunning architecture and interiors of Blenheim Palace and Penshurst Place, to the world-renowned gardens of the late Rosemary Verey, Christopher Lloyd and the vibrant and still-actively-gardening Beth Chatto and Adrian Bloom, you’ll see some of the very finest that England has to offer.
Gardens we will visit include:
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Beth Chatto’s garden, The Bressingham Gardens, Blenheim Palace, Hidcote Manor, Bourton House, Rodmarton Manor, Sudeley Castle, Bourton on the Water, Barnsley House the gardens of the late Rosemary Verey. The Abbey House Garden, Penshurst Place, Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Royal Horticultural Society’s garden at Wisley, Chartwell, the home and garden of Sir Winston Churchill. Upton Grey, the home and garden of Gertrude Jekyll.
