UT students are becoming more aware of
campus sexual assault policies and resources while also reporting a better understanding
of victim/survivor rights. Campus administrators have been working to increase
awareness of and response to sexual assault. You can read more about the reported
increase in awareness and key campus resources here.

Apply now to serve on the dean of students
Rocky Top Roundtable advisory board. Selected members will meet with Dean of Students
Melissa Shivers and the associate deans once a month to offer feedback about issues, the
student experience, and various university initiatives. The deadline to apply is
February 16.

and recognizes their academic achievement and commitment to others and their
community. Nominate an
outstanding senior for this honor by February 20.

SGA’s Government Affairs Committee will
host Coffee and Conversation with Mayor Rogero at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, in
the UC Crest Room. The event is open to all students interested in meeting Mayor Rogero.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask her about any issues or share any ideas that
you have about the city of Knoxville.

Connect with more than 170 employers
during the Spring Job and
Internship Fair. The fair is open to all majors and brings corporate employers,
government agencies, and nonprofits to campus to find students for full-time entry-level
positions or internships. The fair is from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. February 11 in Thompson-
Boling Arena. The annual Diversity Job Fair will be held on February 10. The fair hosts
employers dedicated to hiring individuals from different backgrounds and life stories. The
fair is from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Thompson-Boling Arena.

Everyone is encouraged to register for the
tenth annual Black Issues
Conference set for 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, in the UC. The
conference offers a forum for research and discussion of issues affecting the African
American community. This year’s theme is “Stand Your Ground: The State of
Black America Today.” The day will feature workshops and keynote speaker Roland
Martin, host and managing editor of TV One’s NewsOne Now.
