The nomination deadline
for the Torchbearer award, given to seniors based on their academic achievement and
commitment to others and their community, has been extended to noon on Monday,
February 23.

SGA will host a mandatory meeting at 7:00
p.m. tonight in the UC Crest Room for anyone who plans to run in the upcoming SGA
elections. The meeting will cover election rules and procedures. If you have questions or
cannot attend the meeting, e-mail the SGA

If you transferred to UT from a Tennessee
community college before finishing your associate’s degree, you may now be
eligible for a Tennessee Reverse Transfer degree. The new program allows students who
transfer to receive an associate’s degree when requirements are met in pursuit of
a bachelor’s degree. The deadline to sign up is February 28.

Severe weather is a common occurrence in
East Tennessee. That familiarity makes it easy to forget how dangerous lightning,
damaging winds, floods, and hail can be. Respect Mother Nature and know what to do in
severe weather. Governor Bill Haslam has declared this week Severe Weather Awareness
Week to encourage planning and preparing for severe weather. Learn more on the
