SGA Election Season Approaches; GSS to Host Big Orange Adventure

SGA has been quite busy these past few weeks—visiting Nashville to meet with Governor Haslam, hosting an event with special guest Mayor Madeline Rogero, and preparing for the upcoming election season. Getting to Know the Faces of the Student Success Center

Students help students achieve their academic goals at the Student Success Center. Supplemental instruction sessions allow students who have mastered a class to share their knowledge of the subject with students who are currently enrolled in the class. Barrett Thompson, a senior in chemistry, serves as one of many supplemental instruction leaders. Learn more about Barrett and his academic advice for you here.

Rocky Top Roundtable Applications Due Today

Apply to serve on the Rocky Top Roundtable advisory board. Selected undergraduate and graduate students will meet with Dean of Students Melissa Shivers and the associate deans once a month to offer feedback about issues, the student experience, and various university initiatives.

Vol Court Series Begins Tomorrow

Vol Court is a six-week entrepreneurial speaker series that culminates in a pitch competition where you can put what you’ve learned into practice. Present your business ideas to a panel of successful entrepreneurs for a chance to win $1,000 in cash, office space in the UTRF Business Incubator, and legal and accounting services. Vol Court meets from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesdays beginning tomorrow in Haslam Business Building Room 104.
