Hi Sue,
At UK, we primarily have 12 month faculty appointments, but there are some 9 month appointments. No 10 or 11 month appointments.
We have converted some 12 month appointments to 9 month, but it’s been on a case-by-case basis and has typically been done for retention reasons.
We don’t have any active plans to offer a conversion option to a large group of faculty.

Just gathering information. If you deal with faculty/academic appointments would you please respond to the following questions.
What appointment period is currently offered to new tenure track faculty?
9 month; 10 month; 11 month; 12 month
Are you in the process of converting tenure track faculty with a 12, 11, or 10-month appointment to a 9 month appointment period?
