In the College of Agriculture at AU - we hire both 9 and 12 month faculty. Typically all are 9 month unless there is a 75% extension appointment. We have favored 9 month appointments because of the heavy research component and incentive for extramural funding for covering summer appointments. In the past, we have offered a broad incentive plan for conversions. There are no current conversion plans on the table; however, we do use conversions for purposes of counter-offers and adjusting others based on salary issues.
