NASA DEVELOP is a capacity building program with NASA's Applied Science Program. NASA DEVELOP is a paid opportunity and is open to anyone 18 years+ and includes current students (undergraduate
through PhD), recent graduates, and transitioning professionals. Working in a team environment, participants work closely with end-users and project partners on a 10-week project. Projects highlight the many different ways NASA earth observations can be used
to address environmental issues. DEVELOP projects focus on at least one of the nine NASA application areas; water resources, oceans, weather, climate, disasters, health and air quality, ecological forecasting, agriculture, and energy. There are a total of
14 DEVELOP locations in the US. One of the newest and closest to University of Tennessee-Knoxville is at NOAA's National Climatic Data Center.
The program is an excellent opportunity and aims to foster personal and professional growth in it's participants. The Summer term is from June 1st through August 7th and the application window is currently open until
February 27th. Applicants can apply
