PR Specialist II - 150000004F Description Regular Full-time, Pay Grade 39, Salary DOE&Q The Office of Communications and Marketing seeks a creative, well-rounded communicator for its Media and Internal Relations team. This position works closely with faculty, staff, and students of our various colleges and departments to promote news about the university through a broad range of activities that include writing and distributing news releases, pitching story ideas to media representatives, and managing press inquiries. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field. Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least two years of communications experience, preferably working with the news media. Skills: Strong writing, editing, and interviewing skills; knowledge of traditional and emerging media, and ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and solve problems. For consideration, candidates should provide a cover letter, resume, and list of three references.
