How does the university spend the money
collected from the mandatory fees you pay? This month, we’ll tackle the question
of how your fees are used on campus facilities, technology, programs, and services. The
series starts today with a look at the facilities fee, including an infographic
that shows some of the key uses and projects associated with the fee.

Gather your group and head to Thompson-
Boling Arena to cheer on the Vols and Lady Vols basketball teams. There are still plenty
of chances to catch a game now through March. The best part—the games are free for
students. The only thing you need to do is reserve a ticket on Big Orange Tix. The ticket system will
activate your VolCard for access to the game.

Need help raising money for your big idea
or project this semester? VOLstarter, UT’s new crowdfunding website, is designed to help.
The site has helped gain donations for more than twenty student and faculty projects in
just over two months. Apply to place your project on VOLstarter here. One
student group, Systers: Women in EECS, was able to raise a total of $5,217 for their
project–creating a viral video of real women engineers sharing their stories. Read their

A group of students and staff will head to
Glendale, Arizona, next week to work behind the scenes at Super Bowl XLIX. This is the
ninth year a UT team has worked at the event. The students will volunteer at special
events before and during the game. Learn more about what they will do here.

full-time Master of Business Administration program and its curriculum, application and
admissions process, financial aid, and career services. The event is from 6:00 to 8:00
p.m. Monday, January 26, in Haslam Business Building Room 203. Pre-registration is not

Joining the Student Alumni Associates is a
great way to get involved on campus. The student organization works to build strong ties
between students and alumni and serves as a resource for the student body regarding
alumni, campus, and service activities. Applications are due Friday, February 6.
