De-Stress During Finals with UT Libraries, Multicultural Student Life

Relax and unwind during finals. Start with stress relieving activities and food at the Black Cultural Center. Get a free massage and snuggle with a HABIT dog at Hodges Library. Finish up with Game Night, sponsored by VOLS 2 VOLS. Check the full list of activities beginning this Wednesday here.
Vol Tip: All floors of Hodges Library will be open 24 hours a day now through midnight on Thursday, December 11.

View Spring 2015 Charges This Week

If you are registered for spring classes, you will be able to view your tuition and fee charges in MyUTK beginning this Wednesday. If you wish to set up a deferred payment plan for spring, you may do so beginning this Wednesday. Spring payments are due Monday, January 5. Access convenient and easy online payment options on the One Stop website.

Take a Study Break this Wednesday

Study Break is a semi-annual event open to all students where you can sit, relax, enjoy free food, and watch a movie. Free school supplies will be given out to students who stop by the event. The event, hosted by Phi Eta Sigma, will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. this Wednesday in Career Services located in Dunford Hall.

Faculty Evaluations Due Wednesday

Please take five to ten minutes to complete the confidential evaluation of your instructor before classes end. Your instructors value your feedback and your opinion does make a difference! The system is open until midnight this Wednesday. You can access the evaluations for participating fall semester courses here.

Save Energy with Tips from Office of Sustainability

It is always important to try to conserve energy—but from now until March, ‘peak energy’ hours are between 5:00 and 11:00 a.m. Energy costs increase during these times so make sure to plan any high-energy- consuming activities during the afternoon. The Office of Sustainability offers a few tips on easy things you can do to help save energy.

Whether you have secured a job or internship, plan to attend graduate school, or are still considering opportunities, Career Services wants to hear about it. Share your post-graduation plans by completing this survey which helps UT better understand where students are going after graduation. Make an appointment with your college consultant at Career Services to get assistance with job search strategies, resume development, interviewing skills, and salary negotiation if you are still looking for a post-graduation job.

Food Recovery Network Forum Tomorrow

The first ever Food Recovery Network Forum takes place at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow in HSS Room 57. The student organization fights waste and feeds people by donating surplus unsold food from UT to the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. The forum will feature a speaker from Second Harvest, fun activities, and a discussion about next steps for the chapter.
Vol Tip: Want to join? Bring $10 to the meeting to become a full- fledged member. You’ll receive t-shirts and other gear and access to members- only events and leadership team meetings.
