Congratulations to all of our students
receiving their degrees this week and a big congratulations to Laurence Evans, a member
of the graduating class who was selected to speak at the ceremony. Evans is a sports
management major with a therapeutic recreation concentration from Gatlinburg,

Have you made your student program and
service fee selection for the spring semester? When you log on to MyUTK, a pop up box will appear for you to choose
whether you would like to “opt-in” for your fee to go towards student-
organized programming or not “opt-in” for your fee to be allocated to
another use that benefits students. Want to change your selection? Go to “Update
Spring 2015 Program Fee Option” under "My Services" in MyUTK. You have until
the end of the day on Wednesday, January 7 to make your selection.

If you are registered for spring classes, you
are now able to view your tuition and fee charges in MyUTK and set up a deferred payment plan if needed.
Spring payments are due Monday, January 5. Access convenient and easy online payment
options including free e-check payments on the One
Stop website.

reminders
Residence halls close at 5:00 p.m. this
Friday. You must check out of your residence hall before you leave for winter break.
Graduating this week? You must check out no later than 5:00 p.m. this Saturday. Halls
will reopen for the spring semester at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4. Laurel, Volunteer,
and the Apartment Residence Halls will stay open during the break for students who have
made prior arrangements.

Are you bringing your car to campus next
semester? Spring parking permits are on sale now at half the price of the fall/spring rate.
Go online or visit either Parking and Transit Office locations to purchase a
parking permit.

Want to work on research or a creative
project this summer? Apply for the undergraduate
summer research internship starting January 8. This internship will pay $15 per hour
up to $1,900 for research and projects mentored by UT faculty. The deadline to apply is
Friday, February 13.

more than 1,400 instructional videos on the latest software tools and skills. Topics include
business skills, photography, design, music and video, animation, and web design.
