Happy Holidays! UT Exam time is upon us and we are busy...planning for Spring 2015, beginning the call for our 2015 Fall Learning Community (2015 incoming UT Freshman), wrapping up numerous research projects, moving on with the Policy Challenge and more. Never a dull moment around here! As many of you know, we wished Sen. Nancy Kassebaum Baker farewell as she moved back to her ranch in Kansas, however, we hope it is not the last we have seen of Sen. Nancy! Of course, we marvel to see the many ways Sen. Baker touched so many lives. Just today, UT student, RJ Vogt, referred to him in a piece in the Daily Beacon which you can read here. http://utdailybeacon.com/opinion/columns/open-letters/2014/dec/2/why-pong/ Also, we celebrated our first Howard Baker Public Policy Challenge Semi-final competition and announced the top five teams to move on to the Finals in February 2015. Please see the attached PDF. Of course, please remember the Baker Center in your end-of-the-year philanthropy. You can donate to the Baker Center online here http://bakercenter.utk.edu/about/contribute/ or just mail a check to our office at 1640 Cumberland Ave., 37996. Funds go to support any of our public events or student engagement programs. Everyone have a wonderful holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in 2015!
