TITLE: Technical Services Librarian
LIBRARY: Caldwell County Public Library

SALARY: $38,041
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Technical Services Librarian will prepare original and copy cataloging records and manage daily operations of the library’s ILS, including managing statistical reports, training staff, and writing detailed procedures
as necessary. This individual will also manage other duties of the Technical Services department, including interlibrary loan and meeting room services. Additional responsibilities include supervising one full-time and one part-time library assistant
and working at public service desks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Library Science from a school accredited by the American Library Association or a regionally accredited school of higher education and be capable of acquiring North Carolina Public
Librarian certification within a reasonable time frame. Required skills include knowledge of modern cataloging standards, strong technology skills and excellent customer service skills. Desired qualifications include experience in a public library setting
and experience using the Evergreen ILS.
This position is required to work 2 evenings and one Saturday per month. Must have and maintain a valid N.C. Driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
