Student Success Center Can Help You Prepare for Finals

Avoid cramming and feeling lost in course material—let the Student Success Center help you prepare for finals during their De- Stress for Success event. The center is offering extended supplemental instruction and tutoring throughout the day on Wednesday, December 3. Tutoring will be available in Hodges Library Room 220K and on the third floor of Greve Hall. Supplemental instruction sessions will take place in Humanities and Social Sciences Rooms 60, 71, 123, and 203. Visit their website for more details.

Thanksgiving Break Campus Reminders

There are no classes this Thursday and Friday due to Thanksgiving break. University offices will also be closed but campus residence halls will remain open. Hodges Library will close at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday and will remain closed on Thursday and Friday. The library will return to its regular hours at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

Student Leadership Conference and Day of Service

Register for the Center for Leadership and Service’s annual Clifton M. Jones Student Leadership Conference and MLK Jr. Day of Service on Saturday, January 17. This event is open to all students interested in serving the community while enhancing personal leadership skills.

Spring Undergraduate Research Seminars

The Office of Undergraduate Research will host spring semester research seminars beginning January 14. Learn how to get involved in research, crowdfund your research, use research for scholarship and fellowship applications, find research software, and market your research. Being an RA is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have on campus, giving you the chance to meet new people and make a difference in the lives of others while learning skills for your future. Register for Sophomore Boot Camp

Sophomore Boot Camp is a mini conference for second-year students featuring information about internships, studying abroad, writing resumes, and preparing for graduate school. The event is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, in the Haslam Business Building’s Stokely Hospitality Suite. Log on to Hire-A-Vol to register.
