Honor Tennessee’s fallen veterans
during our fourth annual National Day of Remembrance and Roll Call from 10:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11 in Circle Park. The reading of names will take place
from 10:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. followed by a presentation by retired Army Lt. Col. and
doctoral student Gary Petree at 1:50 p.m. and an observance of the national moment of
silence at 2:00 p.m.

The Association of Public and Land-Grant
Universities honored us with its Most Visible Progress Trailblazer award for improving our
retention and graduation rates over the past six years. The award encourages colleges
and universities to make retention and graduation a high priority by rewarding and

Graduate Business Programs Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11 in
the Haslam Business Building atrium. Speak with administrators and current students

Congratulations to our student newspaper,
the Daily Beacon, for receiving awards last weekend at the National College
Media Convention. Liv McConnell, a senior in psychology, was awarded second place in
Best Arts and Entertainment Story. Dillon Canfield, a senior in Architecture, was awarded
second place for Best Editorial Illustration.

101 workshop will answer these questions. Topics will cover why you should complete an
internship, the best time to begin one, and how to find internships in your area of study.
The workshop begins at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12 in the Career Services
Office located in Dunford Hall.

Psi Chi Honor Society will host a session
about careers and areas of study in the social sciences. The event will feature professors,
graduate students, and professionals from various fields including psychology, social
work, and counseling. Speakers will discuss the different areas of helping professions.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 10 in the UC Crest Room.
