the Kentucky Wildcats for the first time in five years during the Orange-Blue Blood Drive
Battle. You can donate from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday next week in
UC Rooms 223 through 225. You’ll receive a T-shirt, a movie ticket, and free treats from

Students will host local children and their
families next week for University Housing’s annual Grand Illumination event. Each
child will be given a book to take home at the end of the event. Drop off new or gently
used children’s books by 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, at donation boxes
in the Morrill, North Carrick, South Carrick, Reese, Humes, and Fred D. Brown Jr.

A group of students who traveled to
Ferguson, Missouri, will share their experiences at an open forum and discussion session
from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, in Room 27 of the Alumni Memorial
Building. The students traveled to Ferguson to protest the August 9 shooting of Michael
Brown.

Students who live in Jackson or Memphis
can catch a ride home for winter break with the UT to West Tennessee program. This
program provides transportation home to West Tennessee for Thanksgiving, winter, and
spring breaks. Registration for the Thanksgiving trip has closed; however, registration for
the winter break trip opens today. More details and a registration form can be found here.

backpacking and caving adventure in northern Alabama from December 28 to January 4.

The ONSF Exploration Grant program
provides support for undergraduate students in their efforts to establish national or
international connections for nationally competitive scholarship opportunities that support
postgraduate experiences. The office awards up to $5,000 in grants for selected students.
