How Do You Make Orange Green?

Join the Sustainability Day celebration from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. this Thursday. There will be several food vendors, artisans, environmental organizations, and a green concert featuring three bands, all in Presidential Courtyard. Check here for a list of all events happening throughout Sustainability Week.

Are You Ready For Flu Season?

Stop by the UC Ballroom from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today to get your flu shot so you are prepared for flu season. Hosted by Student Health Services and the College of Nursing, shots cost $25 and can be paid by cash, personal check, or credit card.

Are you interested in helping your fellow students grow as leaders? Apply to be a Leadership and Service Ambassador. You’ll present programs on a variety of topics about leadership and service and also serve community needs through education, service, and reflection. Applications are due October 31.

Prizes are being awarded to residents who show a dedication to making their residence hall floor go green. The residence hall with the most points at the end of the month wins the competition—along with bragging rights, a trophy, and another awesome prize.

“Back Pat” During First Race for the Summitt

Show your support during the first annual Knoxville Race for the Summitt 4-Miler at 9:00 a.m. November 8 in Circle Park. The event is hosted by the UT College of Pharmacy Academy of Student Pharmacists as a benefit for the Pat Summitt Foundation for Alzheimer’s Research. The cost is $30 to run in the race or $15 to be a memory donor.

The Central Program Council received the Board of Excellence Award from the National Association for Campus Activities during its Southern Regional Conference earlier this month. Congrats to all students involved with the CPC!

Trailblazer Speaker Series: Theotis Robinson Jr.

The Trailblazer Speaker Series kicks off at 11:30 a.m. this Wednesday in the Hodges Library Auditorium. Theotis Robinson Jr., retired vice president of equity and diversity for the UT System, will discuss his experience as the first African American undergraduate student at UT and the historical struggles of African American students on campus.
