Dear Geographers:

Please see the gracious invitation below from Dr. Pulsipher to attend a series of events related to the hosting of Ambassador Boľo Cerar of the Republic of Slovenia.  This is a tremendous opportunity to meet and talk with an authority on the country and the region.  Please note that the first event is on Monday, Oct. 20—an informal seminar/discussion at the Crown and Goose.  But there is also a formal lecture scheduled that same day.  Please join me in thanking Dr. Pulsipher for working so hard to set up these opportunities to enrich learning within the Department of Geography.

Many thanks,

DA

Dear Geographers,

Please consider coming to the Crown and Goose on Monday, Oct. 20 at 4:30 to enjoy an informal seminar with the Slovene Ambassador on a topic that should be of interest to you..

Ambassador Boľo Cerar of the Republic of Slovenia will be in Knoxville October 19 and 20 to attend the annual Slovene Wine and Culinary Tasting at the Consulate in Holston Hills  on  the 19th (see attached invitation), to give a lecture at the UT Law School (see schedule below) and to offer an informal seminar where he will discuss Slovenia’s foreign policy as it has emerged since Slovenia joined the European Union in 2004.  While you are cordially invited to attend all of the mentioned events, we are hoping you will have a special interest in the Ambassador’s informal seminar which will provide you with an opportunity to talk with him personally. This will take place Monday, October 20 at 4:30 at the Crown and Goose, 123 South Central, Knoxville.  We are holding the event here because of the option to enjoy a drink which is not possible on campus.
