Dear Geographers: Please join me in congratulating Drs. Harden, Shaw, and van Riemsdijk. They were nominated by the Department of Geography for a series of College Research Awards and we just learned that each of our colleagues will receive an award on Dec. 3 at the College Convocation. The Specific Awards are: Dr. Carol Harden-Distinguished Career Research Award Dr. Shih-Lung Shaw-Senior Research Award Dr. Micheline van Riemsdijk-Early Career Research Award This the second straight year that UTK Geography has had a very visible place in the College's Award Ceremony, a tribute to the Department's talent and hard work.
