Tim Errington, Center for Open Science, to Speak during Open Access Week

Open-access literature is digital, online, and free of charge. Faculty and students can have a role in making research and scholarship freely accessible to all. Join Open Access Week events in Hodges Library to learn how.

Tim Errington of the Center for Open Science will speak Thursday, Oct. 23, 1:30-3:00 p.m., in 213 Hodges Library. Errington will discuss the challenge of increasing open science practices. He will also introduce SHARE, the SHared Access Research Ecosystem, a higher education and research community initiative to ensure the preservation of, access to, and reuse of research outputs.

Errington's talk will be followed by a 5th anniversary celebration for Trace, UT's open-access digital repository of research and creative work. Join us for cake in the Mary Greer Room (258 Hodges Library), 3:00-4:00 p.m.
