HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Applicants will be rated according to responses to the occupational questionnaire. A review of the resume and other supporting documentation of the highest scoring applicants will be conducted and compared against the responses to the occupational questionnaire.   The score, based on responses to the questionnaire, is a measure of the degree to which an applicant's background matches the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.  If, after reviewing your resume and or supporting documentation, a determination is made that qualifications and/or experience have been inflated, your score can and will be adjusted to more accurately reflect your abilities.  Please follow all instructions carefully.  Errors or omissions may affect your rating. Any exaggeration of your experience, false statements, or attempts to conceal information may be grounds for rating you ineligible, not hiring you, or for firing you after you begin work.

Category based rating will be used for this vacancy. Category rating combines the applicant's total qualifying experience and education/training into a single category. If you meet the basic qualification requirements, your responses to the Occupational Questionnaire will be used to determine the quality of your experience, education, training etc. for placement. This evaluation determines which candidates will be referred to the selecting official for final consideration.
Best Qualified, applicants possessing experience that substantially exceeds the minimum qualifications of the position including all
selective factors, and who are highly proficient in all requirements of the job and can perform effectively in the position.
Well Qualified, applicants possessing experience that exceeds the minimum qualifications of the position including all selective factors, and who are proficient in most of the requirements of the job.
Minimally Qualified, applicants possessing experience that meets the minimum qualifications of the position including all selective factors, and who are proficient in some, but not all of the requirements of the job.
VETERANS PREFERENCE: Veteran's preference applies to category rating.  Within each quality category, eligible veterans are listed first, including CP, CPS, XP, and TP.  In addition, veterans who have a 10% or more service-connected disability, (CP or CPS) are placed at the top of the highest quality category.  Applicants referred are listed on the selection certificate (veteran's preference eligibles before non-veterans) without scores.

The occupational questionnaire is designed to measure your ability in the following areas needed to successfully perform the duties of this position:

- Basic requirements/Specialized Experience/Education - Screen Out
