Staying in town this weekend? Explore our great city with all of its free attractions,

Neyland Drive from 3:00 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday for Boomsday. Enjoy live music performances, games, and
the largest Labor Day fireworks displays in the nation over the Tennessee River. Then get some

game against against Utah State at 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

As part of National College Colors Day, stop by the new VolShop
location in the University Commons complex from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. tomorrow to receive a
free UT foam brick while supplies last. This VolShop location offers gifts, apparel, and services,
including a store kiosk for ordering books, technology items, and student tickets for games and
campus events.

With the new University Commons complex now open, our campus
community has more local shopping option and a new way of getting there: the Vol Line free
trolley. The trolley has added stops at University Commons as well as along Volunteer Boulevard in
front of Hodges Library, Circle Park, the Rock, the Student Health Building, and TRECS.
Vol Tip: Check the trolley schedule and find tips for walking to the complex from
campus here.

Last week Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek distributed a letter to the campus community regarding the
university’s interim policy on sexual misconduct and relationship violence. Survivors of
these acts are strongly encouraged to report incidents to the appropriate person(s). Detailed

deadlines
Late registration payments are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 29.
If you have adjusted your schedule since August 18, please log into MyUTK to check your account balance. Anyone with an outstanding
balance after August 29 who is not already enrolled in a deferred payment plan will be
automatically placed on a deferred payment plan and charged a $40 setup fee.

Mark your calendars for Career Services’ part-time job fair from
2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3 in the UC Ballroom. Meet representatives from on- and off-campus employers looking to hire students
for various part-time positions.

Law’s Admissions Workshop and Recruitment Fair on Wednesday, September 3. Scheduled activities include an admissions workshop, a
Q&A session with admissions officers, and a recruitment fair with representatives from law
