Hello Club Geography,

Thank you to everyone who made it to our first Club Geography meeting today; we had a great turnout and I expect us to continue the participation in our future meetings and events! Attached is our meeting notes/overview. As you can see we discussed Club Geography media, upcoming events, future possible events, and officer positions. The officer positions have not yet been decided but will be soon before our next meeting.

Here is our scheduled events so far for the Fall semester:

• 09/10/14 - 7:30 pm - Mellow Mushroom Trivia Night (Free Pizza!)
• 09/20/14 - 10:30 am to 1:30 pm - National Geographic Young Explorers Grant Workshop in the University Center Shiloh Room(Club Geography is assisting with this event; volunteer sign-up sheet will be available soon)
• 09/20/14 - 7:00 pm - National Geographic Explorers Talk in the University Center Shiloh Room
• 09/25/14 or 10/02/14 - Structural Violence Panel in currently undetermined location and time (Tentative; working with the Global Studies and Sociology Clubs)
• Week of 11/15/14 - Geography Awareness Week - Dr. Meghan Cope, Professor and Department Head of Geography, University of Vermont Talk on 11/20/14

Our next meeting will be before our Mellow Mushroom Trivia Night; be looking for the next meeting announcement soon. Next meetings agenda consists of introducing our officers for this year, planning for a few of our possible future events, preparing for our scheduled events, and to begin discussing our T-SHIRT designs!
