Reminder: Burchfiel will have a fire drill tomorrow (Wed., July 16) at 9am.  Please see directions below.

Please do NOT ignore this email.

 

On July 16 (next Wed.), an official fire drill will be held by in the Burchfiel Geography Building.  The drill will happen at 9am. 

 

There are several important things to do/know when the drill begins:

 

1.       Leave the building immediately, shutting your door behind you (everyone—faculty, staff, and student—required to evacuate)

2.       UT officials have instructed us to exit Burchfiel through the first floor and walk over to the University Center across the street

3.       UT officials will meet us at the entrance of the University Center to coordinate and evaluate our response to the fire drill

4.       In total, the fire drill should last no longer 10 minutes.

 

If you are teaching or interacting with students in Burchfiel this summer, please pass along these directions to them and emphasize the need to move quickly but safely out of the building.
