Jamie Osborne (’08) is not quite sure why, as a child, she was never introduced to children’s literature from her native Appalachia. As a master’s student she focused her thesis on the subject and is hoping to create awareness of the genre with a new exhibition.

More than 700 people came to UT to pay tribute to Senator Howard H. Baker Jr. The UT alumnus and veteran died Thursday, June 26. His casket—draped in an American flag—was placed at the center of the rotunda of the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy.
