Information Technology Librarian, Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM)
This position is designed to provide a fast track toward medical library leadership. We
offer a supportive library environment, one where mentorship is a top priority of the library director.
The ACOM is a new medical school beginning its second year in August 2014. This is an excellent
position for a medical librarian seeking an opportunity to start out on the ground floor in the development of a new and exciting digital library. The Information Technology Librarian is responsible for delivering and providing leadership for the full range
of library services, with a focus on technology. Functions include managing the library website; managing the programs and applications that are required to make full use of and provide effective access to the digital resources of the library; and providing
other user-service functions. Relevant technology skills are required and further development of these skills will be supported.
Position requirements:

Master’s degree in library or information science (MLS or MSLS) from an ALA-accredited program.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant library experience.
Salary minimum: $60,000
