Some of the students in our department may be interested in the opportunity in Hampton, VA.
Here is the email I received about the awards:

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is now managing the Graduate Research Awards in Public Sector Aviation Issues program on behalf of the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) of the National Academies’ Transportation Research Board.

This is a great venue for students to receive a $10K award to work on a faculty-mentored project.  The ACRP also assigns two topical experts as mentors.  Awardees have the opportunity to present their work at the TRB’s national conference and to be published in the meeting’s Compendium of Papers and the Transportation Research Record.

I am attaching a flyer on the program.  Please help us get the word out to faculty and students who may be interested.    The application deadline is May 29.  Questions will be promptly addressed at [log in to unmask]

Note that this award is also open to U.S. and non-US citizens who meet the award requirements.

Instead of attaching the flyer, I am sending the URL of the Award Program: http://www.trb.org/ACRP/ACRPGraduateAwardProgram.aspx
