SGA Traditions Committee Hosts Orange and White Week Activities

As part of the annual Orange and White Week, the SGA Traditions Committee will host a cookout for Big Orange Friday. You can enjoy free food, brick painting, and prizes. The event takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday on Pedestrian Walkway.

Orange and White Week will include a town hall meeting with Chancellor Cheek, a Vol Walk of Life resource fair, social media trivia, and more. Check out the SGA Traditions Committee's full schedule of events on the @BigOrangeFriday page.


UTPD Hosts Tactical Training Exercises This Month

UTPD will hold tactical training exercises at Melrose Hall this month. The training will be held in vacant sections of the building. The campus community is asked to avoid the training area on April 9, 16, 23, and 30 if possible.

Courage to Climb Award: Ashton Zanoni

Ashton Zanoni, a senior in nursing, brings zeal and enthusiasm to our campus. While his love for UT sports played a large role in his initial interest in UT, Ashton said that the nursing program and the variety of student organizations are what sealed the deal for him to attend UT.

Cone Zone: West Staircase of the Hill to Close for Renovation

Fencing has been placed around the staircase between the Burchfiel and Austin Peay Buildings on the Hill. The closure is in preparation for the removal and replacement of the old staircase at the site where the new pedestrian bridge will connect to the Hill.
