LAC Group is recruiting an experienced Manager of Editorial Services, on behalf of an international oil and gas exploration and chemical manufacturing company in Houston, Texas. Our client offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Member of the Communication and Public Affairs team, responsible for consistency and clarity  of corporate messaging
• Ensure overall editorial and stylistic quality of corporate communications disseminated to internal and external audiences
• Establish and maintain editorial and stylistic standards to reflect corporate goals
• Manage the development, distribution and use of key messages and monitor communications projects to ensure consistency in messaging
• Provide executive communications support, including speechwriting, drafting of quarterly CEO messages, creating and updating bios and editing external presentations
• Contribute creative direction and project management
• Primary writer and/or editor for major annual online and print publications, including materials distributed to stockholders and the public
• Participate in the creative development and scripting of operational and financial videos
• Write and/or edit a variety of materials, including press releases, feature articles, brochures and internal/external website content
• Edit and guide the approval process for articles and announcements for the company intranet

 Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of communications experience involving business, financial and employee audiences
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related discipline
• Exceptional writing ability across a variety of styles and formats
• Outstanding editing skills to ensure technical precision and stylistic consistency
• Strong interpersonal abilities to interact professionally and diplomatically with people at all levels within the company, internationally
• Ability to meet frequent, tight deadlines and ability to adjust to changing workload and shifting priorities
• Familiarity with online and other research sources and methods
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
