Position available for Children’s and Young Adult Librarian at the Weldon Public Library,
Martin, TN. Applicants must have a minimum of a college degree. Early childhood degree or
experience is preferred and library experience is desired. Full-time position that will include
some Saturday and evening hours. Must have strong customer service skills, organizational
skills, the ability to lift 35 pounds and have knowledge of and experience with computers and
Microsoft Office applications. Duties include day to day operations of children’s department,
planning programs for children and young adults, training and supervising staff and volunteers,
preparing statistical reports, collection development, engage in outreach programs, developing
fundraisers and locating grant funding, and collaborating with schools, local organizations and
businesses. Benefits include retirement, life insurance and health insurance. City applications
