Job Description:
The Library at Shippensburg University invites applications for a one-year, full-time adjunct faculty librarian, starting in August 2014, who will serve as the Library Instruction Coordinator. The main focus of this full-time adjunct faculty librarian position is to provide reference and library instructional support to university students, faculty, and staff and leadership to the library instruction program. Based on her/his skill set and the needs of the library, the incumbent will serve on library committees and taskforces and will be assigned additional library responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a master’s degree in library science from an A.L.A. accredited program (2nd masters or doctorate in relevant field highly desirable) and have excellent customer service orientation and skills, knowledge and expertise with relevant reference databases and resources, and a high level of comfort and proficiency with technology. As part of a successful on-campus interview process, selected candidates will be expected to provide a demonstration of teaching effectiveness and evidence of understanding diverse populations.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this nine month position is $46,609.53 with an excellent benefits package including full tuition waiver at Shippensburg and other universities in the State System
