Dear Club Geography:

Please extend congratualtions to Paul Lemieux, who received a Chancellor's Award for Academic Achievement at the 2014 Awards Banquet, in recognition of his success in undergraduate research.  Paul has seen much recent success, which was the basis for his nomination.  In summer 2013, Paul carried out research in remote sensing while serving in a prestigous internship at NASA in Hunstville, Alabama.  He won first prize in the undergraduate poster competition at the 2013 SEDAAG meeting for his poster on this research.  Paul has also been carrying out research on past climate as reconstructed from sediments and speleothems, working with Dr. Sally Horn and graduate students Matthew Kerr, Mathew Boehm, and Matthew Valente in the Laboratory of Paleoenvironmental Research.

Well done, Paul.

Best wishes,

DA
